Draft Master Plan 2025 Exhibit

Diorama Project

🌑 Setting & Theme

  • Strategic Alignment: Grounded in the URA Draft Master Plan 2025, specifically targeting the pillars of "Shaping a Happy, Healthy City" and "Strengthening Urban Resilience."

  • Interactive Urban Sandbox: Designed as a vibrant, digital miniature of Singapore’s future precincts, allowing for real-time visualization of high-density, sustainable living.

  • "Shape Your City" Philosophy: Gamifies complex urban planning by shifting the focus from traditional macro-level zoning to micro-level, user-driven modular architecture.

  • Ecological Harmony: Visualizes a future where community-centric design and green integration are co-developed, emphasizing a "block-by-block" approach to urban sustainability.

  • Micro-Architecture Focus: Empowers users to move beyond being passive observers, turning them into active participants in the architectural evolution of their own living spaces..

⚙️ Features & Interactions

  • Modular Block Selection: Users are provided with a diverse library of architectural "building blocks." Rather than just stacking concrete, users can curate their apartment block by selecting specific modules—ranging from smart residential units and co-working spaces to sky gardens, solar-paneled roofs, and communal recreation decks.

  • Drag-and-Drop Assembly: A seamless, physics-friendly 3D interface lets users effortlessly drag, drop, and snap modules together. This encourages creative experimentation with structural layouts and architectural massing.

  • Real-Time Ecosystem Feedback: As the apartment block grows, the app provides dynamic visual feedback. Users can see how their choices impact the building's liveability—balancing urban density with essential green-space ratios and community connectivity.

  • 3D Spatial Exploration: Once the structural diorama is assembled, users can pan, zoom, and rotate their creation 360 degrees, allowing them to visualize exactly how their custom-built, future-ready apartment integrates into the iconic Singapore skyline.
